Future Technology

The prediction of technology in the future is still a fiercely contested area among futurists, scientists, engineers and pundits. New technologies are arriving all the time making forecasts impossible.

Still, there are technologies that can transport us into the future – such as Brain-Computer Interfaces which allow brain and computer to talk directly to each other for customized and augmented reality, natural language processing that improves voice-controlled devices, or battery technologies that reduce energy consumption.

AI
Already AI has started to take on ever-more human appearances, from intelligent assistants and recommendation engines for streaming services to photo recognition software, autonomous vehicles and translators.

Artificial Intelligence will also play an increasingly important role in human society in the short term, automation of tasks, increased productivity and data analysis, decision making and recommendation support.

AI can save manufacturers money and time by knowing when their machines will need service before they lose it, saving the manufacturer money and time. It can also track animal welfare for best output at the least environmental footprint.

As AI takes over boring, or dangerous, work, humans might be freed up to do more creative, more loving work – possibly making the whole thing more productive. Retraining and upskilling also should not be ignored so that no jobs go completely out the window.

Robotics
The robot is already part of many new technologies. In hazardous environments like fires, to offering medical care during complicated operations; from sorting through reports or filling pharmaceutical prescriptions – to doing repetitive tasks that free up humans for more strategic tasks – robots are vital.

With the development of AI, machine learning and sensors, robots will be more autonomous and adaptable to new purposes. For example, robots will learn how human gestures and feelings work better which will facilitate easy cooperation.

: Established robot vendors might also do well with the software play model as a way to enter new niche markets, if that means working with hardware developers as collaborators and putting customers first when building modular mechatronic systems that could be intelligently updated via software upgrades – this kind of model can work better for specific solutions scenarios than either standard automation or Google platforms.

Virtual Reality
Virtual reality (VR) has been very fast emerging in the gaming world but it’s not only for games. Virtual building plans for architects and virtual crash testing by auto engineers; virtual dressing rooms for shoppers trying on clothes in retail stores.

Education a transformation is another interesting application of VR. Pyramids are easy for history students, and the solar system for physics students – there is nothing like experiencing what it is that makes things come to life in real time and get learnt better. Surgeons can also perform sophisticated procedures using VR without committing medical errors.

Space Exploration
Space exploration consists of both planetary and terrestrial space exploration through astronomy and human spaceflight, both by national and private agencies to explore the world’s deep interior – from moonbase expeditions to Mars or other points in space.

It’s been done by private firms such as Elon Musk-backed SpaceX, co-funded by Jeff Bezos, which have already started to build space habitat modules that could do just that.

Researchers also plan to build reusable rockets so space travel is cheaper and less likely to involve catastrophic space crashes caused by the remnants of unmanned rockets. And then there’s nuclear thermal propulsion, which might get missions like Mars closer to their destinations.
